Documentary- Red Gold

One of the documentaries that I watched was Red Gold. I know that this showed at the DIFF, but I was unable to attend the screening. This documentary was phenomenal. It covered the Pebble Mine development in Alaska. I would recommend this movie to everybody.

Subways Aren't Just for Transportation

This is sick!!! We definitely saw a lot of crazy things happen on the Subway... This tops it all though!

Graffiti Art; Short Doc

I was fortunate enough to visit New York City for spring break this year. While there, I saw a lot of graffiti art. It was beautiful and so artistic. I was wondering what went into this art style. I found this short documentary, which was exactly what I was looking for. Enjoy!

Martin Kippenberger

This is the artist that is featured currently at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. I was fortunate enough to be able to tour this exhibit, and found it phenomenol. The art that Kippenberger was able to make is simply genius. What makes him such a great artist in my opinion is his ability to do it all. He is an accomplished painter, graphic artist, scultpist, and drawer, among many other trades.

I hope you enjoy this video. It's a tour of the current exhibit at the MoMA!

Northern Lights 2006

This is an all-male Independent WorldClass winterguard! They are simply amazing!

Winterguard- The Outcome

I have dedicated 4 years of my life to colorgurad, winterguard, and drum corp. Not a lot of people really know what it is though. You don't just "twirl" a flag. It's actually an intense discipline where you throw rifles (not real... thanks for asking...), Spin sabers, and dance with flags. It's a really beautiful sport and this video proves it. I just found this video today and I was amazed. It's got such a great energy to such a slow song. Also, there are two catagories of guard, Independent and Scholastic, this is a scholastic guard (meaning they are in high school) competing in World Class (the highest level of competition). Amazing. Let me know what you thing! Enjoy!

Awesome Samuri Fighting

For my short film project, I am with a team that is working on a samuri movie. It's going to be pretty awesome! This is a lot more intense than the picture that we are going for. Enjoy!

By the way, we will be showing our movies at the Abbey later in the semester. I'll keep you posted!!!

Amazing Stop Motion

One of the coolest things that I have learned about through my Digital Video Production class is the ability to create stop motion videos. It's simply amazing that people have enough patience to create a video such as this lego one. It must have taken the creator many hours in countless days to create something this simple, yet complex. I am just apalled. Through the future of my career in media I would definitely like to experiment with more stop motion videography. It's simple astounding to create a stop motion masterpiece.

Beautiful Still Images

These images are beautiful. I am naturally attracted to water because it's so calm and beautiful yet so daunting and intense. These photos are amazing because they depict the waves of beauty. I love looking at cloth and different materials in water because they flow so fluidly. It's also amazing how the photographer was able to shoot the model looking so still in some of the pictures. They are just gorgeous.

My First Camcorder Experience

Just to warn you... a few curse words are said throughout this video. This video is called Making Soup With Kayla And Andrew. It was quite an experience. There is no camera quality whatsoever... We ended up putting way to much of everything in the soup, and it turned out kind of like mush. It was definitely quite a good time though. I want everyone that watches this video to notice how low the water is when we show you the pot of soup for the first time. It's about a third of the pot full of water. Then towards the end, we had to make a second batch of soup to eat. We had to use two pans. Another thing about this video I like is the chemistry between Andrew and I. We have been really really good friends since third grade. We crack each other up. I hope you enjoy!

This song, entitled "Show Me The Way", is sung by Styx. This song is one of my all time favorites because it carries such an amazing message. It has also helped me through the hardest times that I have been through. It is just a powerful example of how touching music can be. The video is not my favorite. I believe that Styx could have done a better job with creating a powerful image to display what this song has to offer. I also believe the lyrics imitate something more vast than just death, as depicted in the video. This song carries the message that could help many get through just their day to day lives. I hope that you watch this video and enjoy the music as much as I do.
